I'm pleased to announce the audiobook of RICH MEN, DEAD MEN is out now and sounds fantastic. I'm so happy with how its turned out. Colin Mace has added a whole new depth to the characters that I just love.

He's recording book 2 next week and i can't wait to hear how that's turns out.

I'm in the process of writing book 3, INTO THE RIVER DEAD. As part of that, I had a great chat with Graham Bartlett this week. Graham used to run Brighton and Hove police. Since retiring, he works with authors advising them on correct police procedure and running courses. Authors he works with include Peter James, Mark Billingham, Elly Griffiths, Anthony Horowitz and BBC Studios. He also writes his own series of books featuring Chief Superintendent Jo Howe — they're cracking reads and well worth checking out.

I always find talking to him really inspiring and our conversations set off loads of ideas. Hopefully they help my books feel authentic as well.

Yes! At last. I must admit, at times, it felt like it was never going to be finished. A mix of being over-confident with deadlines, some much needed freelance work, school holidays and another brush of COVID all came together in something of a perfect storm. Somehow, though I managed to do it and I'm so happy with the result.

Thankfully, the first review was a lovely five stars. "Another action packed read by author Michael Dylan in this the 2nd book in the DI Simon Wise series – ‘The Killing Game’. These are fast paced reads with an extra thread burning slowly in the background. I found it hard to put the book down once started and look forward to the next book. Best read in order and highly recommended."

In other news, I've also finished proofing the audiobook for RICH MEN, DEAD MEN. Colin Mace has done an incredible job with it and I got quite emotional listening to him. He'll shortly be working on THE KILLING GAME and DEAD MAN RUNNING as well.

As for DI Simon Wise, next up for me is writing INTO THE RIVER DEAD.
